Chat Circles are small, independent, friendship orientated groups of ordinary people, the primary purpose of which is to establish and maintain meaningful platonic relationships.
This is achieved through a process of learning about each other at structured weekly meetings, where members share, in a confidential environment, things like, how their day is going, where they’re at in life, their aspirations, struggles and triumphs (and not necessarily that intense neither) In addition, if time allows, there is an open-floor discussion where participants are encouraged to respond to thought provoking questions.
Each group is self governing and financially independent. Group expenses are met from voluntary contributions garnered during a collection made at the end of each meeting.
We encourage all participants to visit as many Chat Circle groups and meetings as they wish, but we also encourage each member to adopt one group as their home group, and maybe take on periodic service roles to help with the maintenance of that group.
